Nome residents saw a rare sight on Sept. 11 of two cruise ships in port. The 200-passenger World of Residensea is docked at left while the 530-passenger Roald Amundsen, the world’s first hybrid cruise ship, is moored at right. Nome greeted 12 ships this season and is scheduled for 15 ships in 2020, including National Geographic’s Endurance and Orion.
