The Senate Commerce Committee is forecasted to hold a hearing on the cruise ship industry in June. In advance of the hearing, CLIA Alaska was asked to garner support letters from various elected officials and port communities in Alaska.  We have been working with the Governor’s office, the Senate President and the Speaker of the House to obtain letters of support.  We have also reached out to port communities and expect a number of letters to be submitted.
