Gov. Parnell addressed a packed house at the Anchorage tourism summit

Leading the speakers at the August tourism summit in Anchorage, Alaska Gov. Sean Parnell expressed concern for the drop in visitors to the state and indicated lawmakers need to discuss what to do about the impact of the cruise ship ballot initiative.

Though the governor did not give an opinion about the ballot initiative or the passenger head tax, he identified the economy as one focus of his administration. His presence was viewed as meaningful by many of the attendees.
