Port of Alaska sees first cruise ship in 2 years

On Thursday morning around 10 a.m. the Holland America Cruise cruise line ship Nieuw Amsterdam docked a the port. This is the first cruise ship that has stopped in Anchorage since the COVID-19 pandemic and will be the only ship seen this season according to Visit Anchorage Community Engagement Director Jack Bonney.

Carnival Increases Alaska Capacity with Freedom in 2021

Carnival Cruise Line will sail the Carnival Freedom in Alaska in 2021, operating week-long voyages from Seattle. Starting in April, 2021, the Freedom will join the Carnival Miracle, which will operate 10- and 11-day Glacier Route cruises in Alaska from San Francisco beginning in May 2021.

Cruise Town: Coming this November

For the people who live in Juneau, there’s a lot to love. It’s a small cosmopolitan capital city with a backdrop of almost-cliche scenery. We see whales and orca from our front porches and mountain goats and glaciers out the back. There are salmon swimming through town — bringing the bears with them.
