Cruising Glacier Bay
New Princess itinerary includes day of cruising in Glacier Bay.

Princess Cruises has announced plans for two more voyages from Los Angeles to Alaska and back — a new route the line is debuting in 2018.

The Southern California-based cruise operator says the 3,080-passenger Ruby Princess and 3,100-passenger Star Princess will depart Los Angeles on April 25, 2019, and April 26, 2019, respectively, on 12-night, round-trip sailings that feature stops in Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan as well as Vancouver, British Columbia.

The trips also will include a day of cruising in Alaska’s Glacier Bay National Park.

Princess had previously announced three sailings of the itinerary to take place in 2018 on the Emerald Princess, Golden Princess and Star Princess.

The voyages will allow Southern Californians to cruise to the Last Frontier without first flying to Seattle or Vancouver, the traditional starting points for Alaska cruises.

Fares for the trips start at $1,699 per person, based on double occupancy and not including taxes, fees and port charges of $230.
