The company plans to replace the 2,170-passenger Celebrity Infinity in Alaska with the bigger, 2,852-passenger Celebrity Eclipse for the summer of 2019.
In addition to banning single-use plastics, cruise ships recycle, on average, 60 percent more waste per person than the average person recycles on shore each day, adding up to more than 80,000 tons of paper, plastic, aluminum and glass recycled each year.
